..Historical Monuments and Gardens of Funchal
A Segway ride in the centre of the city, that will guide you through the historical heart of Funchal. Leaving from the Madeira Story Centre Building (next to cable car), passing through St Lawrence’s Fortress/Palace (16th century). Ride through some narrow streets to Quinta das Cruzes (16th century), the first residence of João Gonçalves Zarco, who discovered Madeira and was its first captain, go up on some steep and narrow alleys until you reach the Pico Fortress (17th century) old fortress and actually property of the Portuguese Navy.

Now go down until the St. Luzia’s Gardens, where you may still see the remainders of a former sugar cane factory. There still time to see the City Hall, (18thcentury) old Palace property of Count Carvalhal, once the richest man on the Island. Go around the City Market (1940) full of life and flavours and ride through the narrow older streets of Funchal all the way until the Santiago Fort, built on the 17th century to protect and defend the city.

RENTING CONDITIONS:

- Min. 2 pax e Max. 4 pax.;
- Min. age 18 years old or less when accomplished with parents;
- Weight between 40 kg and 120 kg (88 lbs. to 264lbs.);
- It’s forbidden the use of this device when drunk, under any kind of illegal substances or even with any kind of physical or mental limitations;
- The client is totally responsible for all kind of damages that can occur with all the equipment;
The company Bynature has limited liability insurance for third parties and personal casualties;
- The Segways are rented with key, helmet, bag and the emergency recharging cable.
